DION D. MARAJ » Co-founder and Program Producer
Dion’s contribution to the successful operation of Camp Carnival goes far beyond his fifteen years of event co-ordination, promotions and management experience. Following mass communications studies at York University, Dion pursued his lifelong interest in the music and entertainment sectors. Extensive experience in all facets of the industry, particularly production, performance, event and band management, has afforded him a unique perspective and insight into the Arts..
Comfortable behind his instruments, ‘authentic’ and make-shift, including drums, bass guitar and ‘iron’, he has participated in a number of musical undertakings during the Caribana parade. Dion is also fortunate to have experienced the making of mas first-hand through decades of familial involvement in the art. Currently serving the financial sector, he is an influential member within an elaborate network of corporate and community connections.
