Read about Camp Carnival IN THE NEWS!

"Finding community solutions starts with support for children in our communities. Ontario’s families rely every day on the assistance of volunteer organizations. They train our youth and help them develop their full potential and gain a sense of belonging and responsibility."

- David H. Tsubouchi, Minister of Culture

Our Mission

Through activities rooted in the Caribana Festival, Camp Carnival aims to provide at-risk youth of Toronto with novel, intensely engaging opportunities to gain artistic experience, while facilitating personal growth, life-skill development, community reinforcement and cultural participation.

Our Objectives

To increase opportunities for intellectual, social and civic development in disadvantaged youth of Toronto.

To build leadership capacity among youth, creating the community leaders of tomorrow while fostering development of teamwork skills.

To educate youth about the arts in the Caribbean culture thus promoting cross-cultural understanding, acceptance and advocacy.

To promote diversity among youth. The inspiration for mas comes from history, politics, the environment and most frequently, cultural diversity. Our diverse participants will collarboratively express themselves through the artistic method of mas-making.

To demonstrate the community value of the Caribana Festival and contribute to its growth and stability.
